Here are some facts about John Pucay, the writer of one of the top 100 best-sellers in the Asian Literature category on Amazon, the Karinderya Love Songs.

John was born in a tiny mountain village in the Philippines to the Kankanaey-Ibaloi tribes of Benguet and raised by a jeepney driver father and a budget-savvy mother. During his college life, he used to join extracurricular activities where he got most of his experiences, which also helped him to develop soft skills. He was a member of White & Blue and the SSC Committee.

John Pucay said that his current lifestyle is less stressful compared to his college days. He was a full-time call center agent in his second year of college due to financial reasons background. After graduation, he became a graphic artist/animator for a nationwide media company.

In December 2018, John worked as a marketing director and got fired after five months. In April 2019, he wrote an article, the Summer Job, which was sent to the Philippine Daily Inquirer. This article is a kind of a break of despair for him because he couldn’t get the job he wanted, and the one thing he wanted kept rejecting him. In 2020 he started quitting his jobs to pursue writing. After the PDI published his article, John Pucay received emails from his readers offering him a job. He was able to get clients, and this helped him to survive and pay his bills. This made him realize that he could probably write to survive. In 2021, he became fully writing-based and started blogging on Medium. He primarily writes about life, relationships, polyamory, career, and running. He writes based on what comes in and what comes out in his mind.
